Three Peaks Success!

Our intrepid team of hikers led by Sam Eastman, Deputy Manager at Henfield Leisure Centre completed the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend of 31 May - 1 June 2025, raising more than £8,000 (and counting) for improvements to the leisure centre.

Rob, Ally, Di, Ben, Oliver, Graham and Sam managed to complete the three summits in 22.5 hours which was an incredible achievement. Sam said

“The weather was fine below 500 metres but the team had to battle through strong winds and -5 degree conditions to conquer Mt Snowdon. Crawling up the steps to complete the third summit in 50mph winds and thinking I was going to fall to my death was a real challenge!”

The team would like to say a special thank you to HLC Receptionist John, who drove the team to the meeting point in Chester and was waiting to bring them all safely home from Snowdon.
